Welcome to our lakeside retreat at beautiful Buggs Island Lake (also known as Kerr Lake)!

We're David and Dena — a husband-and-wife team with a lifelong love for the water. We both grew up fishing, swimming, boating, and making memories on lakes all over the Southeast. Some of our happiest moments happened on the water: casting lines at sunrise, roasting marshmallows by the campfire, and laughing with family and friends under the stars.

When we discovered Buggs Island, we knew we’d found something special — a place that reminded us of all those treasured memories and offered the perfect backdrop to make new ones. That’s why we created this space: to give others the chance to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy the simple joys of lake life.

Whether you’re here for a weekend getaway, a family vacation, a peaceful escape, or a fishing trip, we hope our home becomes part of your story. Our goal is to provide a comfortable, relaxing stay where you can unwind, explore, and maybe even start a few lake traditions of your own.
